let's start the new year right.

Make your New Years complete by watching this.

Goodbye, 2012. Hello, 2013!

Happy New Years, everyone!!

Mr. Baldwin

It all happened so fast.

The thought was thrown around, and I wasn't sure how I felt about it, since it would mess up our living room arrangement.

But here we are, with a new member of the family. Baldwin.

A friend gave my sister Lauren, who is a piano teacher, a really good deal. So now we have a wonderful new-to-us petite baby grand!

lilly.

At Christmas, my four year-old cousin and I had a mini photoshoot. She was the sweetest little model!

I do not usually edit my photos. But for this I did, just because I thought it would be something different.

She insisted we use the curtains. :)

it's a wonderful life.

George Bailey: Now, will you do something for me?
Zuzu Bailey: What?
George Bailey: Will you try and get some sleep?
Zuzu Bailey: I'm not sleepy. I want to look at my flower.
George Bailey: I know-I know, but you just go to sleep, and then you can dream about it, and it'll be a whole garden.
Zuzu Bailey: It will?
George Bailey: Uh-huh.

Mary, my 5 year-old sister: "No it won't."

Thanks Mary. Thanks.

let it snow, let it snow.

On Thursday night, during our choir concert (post to come soon, hopefully!) it started. The first snow this Christmas. By the time I woke up this morning, the ground was covered in those magical little icy things called snowflakes.

Talk about detailed.

May your Christmas be white!

confessions.

I confess that...

Without my glasses, everything is bokeh.

Math makes me grumpy for the rest of the day.

I will stop everything and run to my room to sit on the vent when the heat comes on.

I really hate practicing.

Applesauce makes me gag when I even look at it.

Sometimes it is really hard for me to finish a book.

At 7 years old, I would force my family to listen to stories I had written.

I am extremely excited for Monsters University to come out.

I try to play my violin like a cello.

My favorite weather is 90 degrees and up.

I try to tan, but always burn.

Talking on the phone is awkward for me.

These are my sisters:

The movie Cinderella will always hold a dear spot in my heart.

The word "double-stops" makes me shudder. Any other violinists agree?

Sometimes I rather enjoy it when people stare at me for wearing a long skirt.

I absolutely hate hot dogs.

I am a proud supporter of my state NFL team.

People are always complaining about my ice-cold hands.

I rarely wear socks.

I prefer Chocolate or Vanilla icecream, instead of Rocky Road Double Moosetracks Carmel Marshmallow Delight. Call me crazy.

Toodles for now,
Kathryn (aka Chatty Kathy)

it's the most wonderful time.

It's a time to celebrate the birth of a little baby, who came to earth to save us from our sins.

It's a time to bring out all the decorations.

It's a time to eat tons of candy canes.

It's a time to sit by the warm fire with your family.

It's a time for music.

It's a time to be silly.

It's a time for presents hidden under the tree.

It's a time for family pictures.

P.S. Happy 12-12-12!!! :)

"A Date which will Live in Infamy"

Pearl Harbor
On December 7th, 1941, the Japanese attacked The U.S. Pacific Fleet, at Pearl Harbor.

For the Americans, 2,204 were killed and 1,247 were wounded.

Franklin D. Roosevelt proclaimed that December 7th, 1941, would be "a date which will live in infamy."

Let's take a moment to remember all those who have died fighting for our country!

Nostalgia

Guys, I did this.
"I wish, I wish, with all my heart..."
Watched this all the time... :)
Wearing this... Only I had pink, fuzzy gloves, too.
Yep, I had a thinking chair.
When your entire afternoon was spent like this.
Who else remembers this?
When you had a major crush on this guy...
And this guy...
And this guy.
Playing with these paper dolls.
Clifford the Big Red Dog, one of my fav stuffed animals.
That awesome feeling when this movie was available at the library. In VHS, of course.
THIS book.
What are your memories?
