you know you're a writer when...

I have so many goals as a writer. One of them is to make my characters SO real, that if they get killed, my reader will cry like I did when Sergeant Quick died in Queen Sheba's Ring by H. Rider Haggard.

I was in love with that character. Not 'in love' like you might think. But I was in love with him as a writer. I loved his character. The way Henry Haggard described him. He was so real.

Yes, maybe to you I am being a little dramatic. But there is nothing quite so tragic as the killing off of a favorite character.

And unfortunately, sometimes it just must be done. I have to do some of that in my current story...

Why am I telling you all this? I'm not really sure... That was just something I wanted to share.

And so here are some things that maybe you, if you are a writer, can relate with.

This is why we writers lock our bedroom door.
All the time...

Okay, the last one made my eyes bug out. YES, yes, yes. Seriously, those sites help so much!

"Your" instead of "you're"... I don't have to tell YOU about it. We sit and chop it up together already.

Writer's block... Please don't make me cry thinking about it! xD

I was JUST talking to my mom and sister about how bad it is when your favorite character dies. Which, for me, is all the time. I don't know why my favorites always die, but they do. And i never get over it:( I cry for days...

And as for the rest of your post... YES. Yes to everything. Hehe:)

Ugh... I love being a writer but I hate the side affects:-/ lol;)
