Hey all!
Yeah, so it's been a while since I did a 'real' post. You know, not just a part of a story or photo contest. So, here you go!
On Thursday, we went to some friends' house to have a picnic, and to see their ducks and chickens! Now before I continue, I must tell you a little story. Ready?
So when I was 4 or 5, I had a dollar. Yes, a whole dollar! And my mom told me I could buy anything I wanted with that dollar.
Well one day, we were at a Tractor Supply, when I saw a sign that said: "Ducklings $1". Oh, you can imagine the joy! I could have a duck! Or so I thought...
Of course you all know how it ended, my mother said no, and I went home duckless. The disappointing life of a 5 year-old...
Now when we first met our friends, I told them that story. Of course they laughed and thought it was funny, and said that they would "give" me one of their ducks. So yes, I have a duck.
His name is Dandelion, or Dandy for short. And every time I see our friends, I ask them how little Dandy is doing! And you know what I found out? My duck is mean. Yes, mean! Well, not all the way mean, just part mean. He chases the chickens.
Anyway, enough about that! So, now that you know I have a duck, you can see the pictures. I got to meet Dandy for the first time Thursday!

We ate hamburgers and hot dogs, and sat out on the porch and talked! It was a very fun afternoon :)

We used to have some "Kacky Cambles" They laid HUGE eggs!!! We found them all over the yard!

Dandy is so CUTE!!!!! We have chickens and there eggs get REALLY BIG! If we ever had a duck or goose we would name it Hannibal because that is the name of Israel Boones goose on Daniel Boone.
